Importing a number of pictures.

The last has prominence over others.

Is there means of bringing a picture to the front of another ie the front picture will then partially obscure the one behind

Yes, in exPressit SE for Windows, there is a means of bringing a picture to the front of another. You can import multiple pictures and arrange their order. The picture that is brought to the front will partially obscure the one behind it.

I use Staples CD & DVD Labels for inkjet and laser printers (their product 12354). The packaging claims the labels are compatible with Avery 5931/8931. How do I configure exPressit SE 3.1 so that it prints my labels correctly on my label paper?

exPressit SE is a very old application that was discontinued a long time ago. Because of that, troubleshooting and configuration can be very hard since nothing is available in terms of usage guides and manuals. The only thing you can access to configure your labels is the built-in Help section (if it has one). I've searched the web, but nothing was available.

Try using the dedicated application released by Avery Corporation when it comes to label printing and designing.

I cannot save my ExpressIt label and then re-open it. It does not add the .exp extension to filename unless I type it in and still says that it cannot load file. What am I doing wrong?

According to the manual, the main File dialog offers the possibility to save the design using Save Design. However, for this to work properly, make sure the software is run by you as Administrator. This gives you the possibility to have system-wide access to write on all partitions. I believe the error is caused by the lack of system permissions.

Right-click the shortcut and choose Run as Administrator, then the Save as will work properly.

I am getting an "Out of Memory" message every time I try to Import a photo. I am importing from a new Sony camera. Can Expressit handle that?

L
Answer by Leonard Moore

To solve this problem, you can try to load the picture on your computer first, then import it to the Expressit SE program. Also, try to perform a clean boot before you try again. To do a clean boot, depending on your OS, you can go to Start > Run > type msconfig and press Enter. In the new window opened, go to General tab and make sure that Selective startup option is enabled and the Load Startup items are disabled. Next, go to Service tab, select Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all. Apply the changes and reboot your computer. If you still have problems using the application, contact the developer on the official website.

If you use Windows XP or below you can go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. In the 'Currently installed programs' box, click on the exPressit SE program and then click Remove.
If you have Windows Vista or above you need to go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Select the exPressit SE application and click on Uninstall.

Also you can try using Revo Uninstaller. Even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.

The application does not feature an option related to language changer. After installation, the main menu does not have a Preferences/Options menu from which the application can be configured. It is delivered in English and this is the only language supported.
